Heavens to Betsy! These. Are. Good. Michael, the kids and I devoured these Easy Crock Pot Peppered Beef Tips I adapted from Crock Pot’s 365 Days of Crock Pot Recipes! And when I call them easy, I mean crazy easy! They can be thrown together in about 2 minutes flat and cook all day. You’re friends and family will be singing your praises when you serve up this delicious dinner!

Crock Pot Peppered Beef Tips Notes
- Mr. Bigto cook this up, but you can use any 4 quart slow cooker.
- I didn’t put a measurement for the pepper in this recipe, because it is really up to you. I did a heavy sprinkling on top of the soups before I mixed everything in and wasn’t sure if it would be a “peppered” flavored recipe. I was pleasantly surprised that it had a great peppered taste! If you like a little more kick, then add in more pepper. Are you a little more timid when it comes to spiciness? Sprinkle a little less!

Ingredients
- 1 lb stew meat or beef tips
- 10.5 oz can French onion soup
- 10.5 oz can cream of mushroom soup
- .87 oz brown gravy mix packet
- pepper to taste
- thick cut egg noodles , prepared
Instructions
Put your meat in the bottom of your 4-quart slow cooker (I used Mr. Big)
Pour your soups, pepper and gravy mix into a bowl, mix together and pour over your meat
Cover and cook on low for 8 hours
Serve your meat over your noodles with the gravy over everything

I took out stew meat to defrost last night. I only have home canned French Onion Soup in pint jars; so it’s not condensed. Should I add less of the French Onion and or just add more condensed cream of celery (we can’t do mushroom) or just one more packet of brown gravy mix?Reply

I haven’t made this with a non-condensed French Onion Soup. If I did, I would probably add another packet of brown gravy to help thicken it up a bit more. It still might be a bit thinner than the original recipe, but would probably taste really good nonetheless. If you give it a try, let me know how it goes!Aunt Lou

I want to make this but couldn’t find the French onion soup at my local grocer and don’t have French onion soup mix. What else can I use?

Hi Amy!I haven’t tried this recipe with anything other than French Onion Soup. You might try Beefy Mushroom Soup since it has a similar consistency and add either onion powder or dried minced onion to include the onion flavor. If you give it a try, let me know how it turns out!

Hi Jennfier!Yes, the noodles are prepared (boiled) and then the beef and gravy are served over the prepared noodles. Enjoy!

Did not have French onion soup so used 1 pķg. of onion soup mix and a few dashes of worcestershiŕe sauce. Should work well. I hope.

Can I cook in high for 4 hours?

Hi Morgan!I wouldn’t recommend it. Beef does best when cooked low and slow. It can take a tougher cut of meat and make it tender. If you cut up a tender piece of meat, it might work. But low and slow with beef is always best.
