What day does spring semester start at UNT? ›

Labor Day - No classes and the university will be closed.

Yes. The Winter Session is considered part of the spring term. Spring anticipated aid can be used to assist with securing Winter Session classes until financial aid is able to disburse.

Semesters in US universities

Classes in the first semester usually begins in August and lasts until the end of December, including exams. The second semester runs from January/February to may-June. Winter vacation lasts 2-3 weeks, summer 10-12 weeks.

University of North Texas admissions are offered international students in fall, spring and summer intakes. To get through graduate admissions in University of North Texas, you must have 3.0 GPA (85%) in undergraduate degree. Additionally, competitive GRE/GMAT may be required for some courses.

Hourly student employees are limited to 25 hours per week during the fall and spring semesters. They can work up to 40 hours per week during breaks. Students graduating in spring can continue to work through the summer as a student employee up to the day before the fall semester begins.

Does UNT require dorms? ›

All first-year college students who enroll for nine or more semester hours, are required to reside in an on-campus residence hall under a Housing License Agreement for the full-term of the housing period applied for by the student, as long as space in an on- campus residence hall is available.
